The possibilities of SL as an educational tool are near-endless and exciting (as a regular SLer myself, I'm sure of this).

I've always embraced the idea of online learning and collaboration in a real-time virtual setting. Students have the benefit of learning together in a fun and exciting way. Personally, I would love to adopt something similar at my school (albeit having a small group of students; 8 to a class?), but whether it can be adopted depends upon my school.

Great video - I am sure that students would thrive and enjoy the environment - it is getting the teachers up and running and embracing what is possible... tough call for some who can't see past the time it takes to learn the environment.

As it says in the end credits, I tried to show a concept, but the video is just illustrative and not based on any real school's implementation.

Clause
Thanks for posting this .... it looks like GSIS ... German Swiss International School .... using Second Life?

Anyone know for sure ..... or better still it would be great to get some background info from the staff involved.

Bet there is someone from GSIS reading this (maybe Claus?) .... could you investigate?

Thanks
