Locking myself away for a day in Dec 2008 to Quantify and Visualise my own online Personal Learning Network helped considerable in the organisation of my own online life.
It's an ongoing project but one that gives me some element of control over my digital identity and not the other way around.
... and does help me stay relatively sane ;-)

The full description of the session is ....

With all the advantages of web 2.0 there are also some disadvantages ... and one of them is the shear weight of innovations that are dropped on us almost on a day to day basis ... and adding to this the increased demands to monitor students online work ... it's an almost impossible task to manage the demands on our time.
One of the main teacher coping strategies is ... working late into the evening and at weekends ... and I wonder if you spent any of your summer holiday with your laptop looking for a wifi connection just off the beach?
This session is offered as an opportunity for us to share some strategies that can help ... I'll start the discussion by sharing how a web 2.0 Starter Page used as an RSS Reader saves me time and also how Evernote (www.evernote.com) has made my working life much more efficent across different operating systems and multiple machines.
So please bring your own strategies, for 21st century online survival, to share .... however big or small ... we could even delve into the world of "Better Searching" or "How to find stuff more easily"
