Due to recent timely conversations about ereaders and audiobooks, there has been a re-drafting of the focus of our presentation (just in case you've already looked at the Program available off the conference website) that will take place on Friday during the third session. The new and improved version is as follows.

Digital Gist
Harnessing digital content for the library and learning: an inquiry into texts online in audio, video, and e-book formats.
All school libraries are contending with changing media and technology—how are libraries dealing with digital content that is presented in various media in a myriad of formats and delivered in numerous, differing containers?
Specifically, we will delve into the current conversations about concentrated, deep reading in digital contexts and how the school library can deliver better and more integrative services.
By considering how the school library acquires, manages and delivers content other than traditional printed books, we will be considering accessibility, efficiency, legalities and cost. Ultimately we will be exploring innovative and sustainable practices with digital content that extends, enriches, and personalizes the learning for our school communities.
